New Left Review 23 September-October 2003
c.5,000 words

Barak's 'generous offer' wouldn't even approach this; while Sharon, in Kimmerling's view, is engaged in the 'politicide' of the Palestinian people, that is the attempt, doomed to failure, of destroying their 'prospects -indeed, their very will - for legitimate self-determination and sovereignty over land they consider their homeland'.
